Cresson T. Horton of Amenia was arrested on Friday, Jan. 19 after troopers received a complaint from a victim who told investigators that Horton forced them to perform sexual acts, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
Troopers from the Dover Plains barracks charged Horton, who was familiar with the victim, with felony rape and felony criminal sexual act, Hicks said.
Horton was arraigned before the town of Amenia Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. A full order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim and granted by the court.
